As you know, last Friday Danelle received her first Chemo treatment. After it was over, Friday night and Saturday seemed pretty typical. One of the hardest parts of the weekend was waiting…. Waiting to see how bad the side effects were. Waiting for them to start and just be over with. Wondering how long they will last. That’s tough to deal with.
God looked after her and took care of her. Her tummy felt a little off sometimes, and she had a little less energy. But she was a rock star. She rested through all the symptoms and on Tuesday she seemed to be feeling better. We are still watchful and making sure she doesn’t over do it. But I am so proud of her and how she has powered through. Your prayers are working. Keep them coming:
- Please pray that this medicine is kicking that cancer’s butt
- That “God uses this opportunity to show off” (quote from Jeff Fischer…I like it)
- That her chemo symptoms continue to become milder
I also want to say that we cannot believe the tidal wave of love, support, and generosity that we have received from our family and friends. The texts, cards, calls, and gifts have meant so very much to us. Saying “Thank you” just doesn’t come close to how we feel. But….Thank you. We are blessed to have you in our lives.
