God is good.
The surgery was a great success. Both surgeons that were a part of the procedure were very happy with how things went.
The chemo had eaten away even more of the cancer than they thought. The main tumor was still there, but what had spread to other areas was much less defined and was breaking down.
They removed the main tumor, and cleaned out all the cancer that was visible. While there may be some microscopic areas of cancer, there are no visible areas of cancer remaining. This is the best news!
Also some other good news is that the liver doctor only had to clean the cancer off of the outside of the liver. There was no cancer to remove inside the liver. This was an answered prayer.
There are other details of what they DID NOT have to do, but the bottom line is that they were able to leave much more intact than they originally thought.
We are still amazed at what God has done through the people here at Duke. Blessings are new every hour. She had already been up and moving, walking a few steps, and eating well.
We are also truly blessed by all of you. Thank you again. For everything. All of it.
⁃ Please pray that recovery continues to go well
⁃ That there are no post surgery issues to address
⁃ A great big “Thank You” to our God. God is good.
