Danelle Fights Cancer

After a two and a half week trip to Europe, we were ready to come home. During our trip, Danelle hadn’t been feeling well at various times. Once we were back home, she decided to go to the emergency room to try to get some quick answers. The answers they provided would change our lives dramatically. Danelle had a very concerning tumor that was large and taking up a large part of her abdomen. The ER doctors engaged the doctors of oncology at Duke and helped to get the ball rolling. The news weighed heavy and there was little sleep to be had. Next steps: Work to get an appointment as soon as possible.
