The last few weeks have been really enjoyable for our family. We were able to spend some time away for the weekend earlier in the month for Danelle’s Birthday, for Mother’s day, and for LK’s birthday (a little late). The boys were also able to take trips and enjoy time with some friends.
Today, Danelle went for a CT scan at her doctor’s office. The scan was quick and she spent more time in the waiting room than in the scan.
Tomorrow (Friday) we meet with the doctor for the results of the scan. This is to check to ensure that everything has been taken care of and there are no other areas of cancer to address. This is a new part of life where scans and appointments will be the new norm.
We remain hopeful and prayerful that God will continue to heal her and make her better. While there have been some terrible parts of this disease, the unknowns are some of the most difficult part. But Danelle has taken them in stride and persevered.
There have been so many prayer warriors that have gone to God on her behalf. Again and again you have asked for help for her and he has answered. We continue to be grateful and humbled by all you do. If you are able, please pray:
⁃ For courage and strength for Danelle
⁃ That the scans show that she is free and clear of the cancer
⁃ That we have a clear path forward in continuing to heal Danelle.
